So it seems Sky have bought O2's home phone and broadband business which will probably mean increased prices.
I'm looking around at new deals and the BT offerings seem to be pretty good.
I can get up to 16MB unlimited broadband, phone line rental including free weekend calls and the basic BT TV package including a YouView box for £26.75 per month. That's only a couple of pounds more than I pay now.
Couple of questions.
Is BT broadband any good?
Is YouView worth having?

BT Broadband works fine. Technical support is full of foreigners

If you take out a deal with O2 now they can't increase the prices mid contract.
Been with O2 3 years and never paid for BB only the line rental with them.
They're currently doing £100 cashback and £50 M&S vouchers too.
Other than that, Talk Talk seem to be the cheapest (although that offer might have ended now).

I have O2 already, pretty sure prices will go up as soon as they are contractually able to do so.

As I get various people asking me to help when their broadband goes down, i'd have to say by far talktalk has the best customer service. IIRC it used to be wank. They've upped their game of late.

I would steer clear of BT broadband tbh. Sky are terrible at customer service but I'e never had to phone for a broadband fault.

Good Plusnet deal on HUKD at the moment if you can get fibre.

Sky were friendly enough with broadband problems but sometimes you just feel you're hitting your head against a brick wall with them.

Out of the three i have had. PlusNet, Sky and then BT Infinity, sky was the best.
PlusNet - fairly good tech support, never dropped a connection but they throttle and very noticeably.
Sky - Solid connection, consistent speed, never had to use any support.
BT - equipment shit, connection forever dropping, technical support is poor but the speed is there, pay for 76mb and i actually hit over that most of the time. Would never had chosen them if Infinity wasn't an option.
