as titled ive just done a head rebuild new timing belt headgasket put it all back together and wont start now all i get is a clunking
all plugs are plugged in
timing is spot on
plugs and leads are all fine
why wont it start

Clunking sounds like pistons and valves mate. Did you turn it over by hand first?

8v so no contact engine if im right does it turn over or nothing?

When my water pump and cambelt went on my old 1.2 8v, I bent 3 valves, all these people saying it's a "safe" engine are full of shit
