Cars guru's, a mate has just text me In a panick. He's changed the engine battery on his Mini Cooper (2002) and not the central locking doesn't work via the remote. He changed the remote battery, re-synced remote as per handbook but still not working. Any ideas? Anybody come across this before.

Central locking still operates from the key in the door lock.

My missus key stopped working, but hers was because the battery literally fell off the PCB inside the key.. Shoddy BMW build quality.
