Android-based smartphone from Amazon which can track your head for a wonky 3D perspective effect, and the ability to buy anything from Amazon just by showing it to the camera (i.e. it can scan book covers, film posters etc. don't even need a barcode or QR code).
Specs:
4.7inch 1280x720 screen
2.2ghz quad core processor
22 hours talk time (apparently)
13 megapixel main camera, 2 megapixel front-facing job
Gorilla glass front AND back (loving this! iPhone 4 anyone?)

I'm sure it might be a great phone, but I would never trust myself with a device which sole purpose is to make me shop more.

It's a bit steep at $650/750 (32/64GB) but then people have bought the Kindle and the Kindle Fire, so i imagine they'll buy this as well

This 'Firefly' malarky is integrated system-wide with OCR - so you can point the phone at a business card, for example, and it will figure out there's a phone number on it so you can dial it straight away, or import to contacts or whatever; pretty cool.

Really boring release. Can understand why Amazon want to make it easy for people to buy stuff from Amazon, I'm surprised Bezos released something so mediocre, especially after having just finished reading 'The Everything Store'
