bought one from ebay the other day. problem i have with it, is it is causing the tv to switch off then back on again at random intervals. this is when connected via hdmi. connect it via av and it doesnt. nothing else causes the tv to reset off then on that is connected to it. only the android tv box. is it a problem with voltage surge or something perhaps? any solutions?
tv is a sony bravia, about 2 years old.
thanks

Is it actually powering the TV off (/into standby)? Or is it just cutting the HDMI output (blank screen)?
Have you tried it with another TV? Same result?
It could be a number of things and i suspect it's likely a fault with the device. Personally i'd either get a replacement or purchase a different Android device (plenty of theme out there).

We can power on our TV through hdmi, well, when the sky button is pressed, the skybox and TV turn on.
Is there any setting on the box for power through hdmi or something similar? If not I would assume it is something do with the power

yeah it powers the tv off as the sony logo and noise comes on like when it is first switched on. and the power light goes off then on again.

And turn anything off that looks like hdmi control, hdmi hec... The stick will be sending a dodgy signal to the TV that says turn off, just seeing if you can get the TV to ignore it. Or any settings on the box to do with hdmi?
