Some people really should just be banned from DIY stores. Paint aisles inparticular.....

Wall is completely out now, needs dressing up a little but mothing major.
Just ordered miles of network cable, wall boxes, hdmi leads, splitters etc so all that can be routed into the walls before plastering starts.
Been looking at kitchen ideas and we have decided on a shaker style with a 4k budget for the lot. So hopefully thats possible.
This is basically the look she wants.
Im going to pick up some paint so i can start painting the garage and garage floor..
Whats the best garage floor paint to get?

Little bit more progress.
Got 99% of the plaster off, got the 2 holes cut for the RSJ to go in, got all the tiles up aswell and i managed to get them out intact so im going to use them in the pantry we are making in the corner.
Finished all that at about 5, so after pops went home i started the garage.
Did some chopping and burning, the fire has been going from 9 when we started to 10 when i left. A lot of stuff has been burnt today
Im going to just do it in magnolia and a grey floor, for now.. If i decide to do the walls white, which i probably will its only going to take a coat.
Tomorrow we have to get all the adhesive from the tiles up and drop the ceiling. Then look at the water pipes and the eleccy wires.

Today we managed to get the RSJ in and secured.
Some of the old pantry vents (pantry was removed by previous owner) needed bricking up.
Fireplace all bricked up
We decided to put the pantry back in, so this is the timber frame.
And her dad spent the day filling, sanding and painting.
And again, once everone went home i started on the garage. I've finally done the first coat and 1/2 in the second.
Looking at these pics now, i think its safe to say it really has to be white.
Started undercoating the wood windows to try prolong them a little longer
And then sat down and had a beer by the fire.

It was only an electric fire, we cant have a gas one because there isnt a flu.. So it didnt leave me much option, plus it was a horrible looking fire.
I think ill probably get one of those wall mounted eleccy fires when we do the living room.

Fast progress! Garage looks wicked painted
Why don't you just dot and dab the plasterboard instead of losing spacing putting joists in? Because of the pipe work?

Its only on that 1 wall.
The other walls are going to be dot & dabbed.

Went to Wickes this morning to pick up some angle bead for the platstering.
then we cracked on and got as much as we could boarded up, we have about 2 more boards to put up, plus some small bits and pieces but it was 10:45pm so we decided to call it a day.
Charlotte started unboxing clothes into the new wardrobe (too much space, not enough clothes lol)
Finished up boarding the space left by the old chimney
And finally we have a sofa in my man cave
