have you got the koni kit mate?
u think 40mm is low enough on standard gsi alloys? thinking of having a set of 17s later on?
60mm seems to much! and 40mm too little! is der a 50mm koni full kit?
thanks

if its a 40mm kit specifically for the GSI then it'll look spot on
where are u getting the kit from? make sure they dont use the same part number across the full corsa range otherwise it aint specifically for the gsi

Its only the Corsa C that you need to cut the shocker out and drill a hole in the bottom of the strut and bolt the koni insert in . However I don't know about the CorsaB

actually your all crap ^^^^^^^
he's talking about GSI's (Corsa B) & wondering if it has any of the so-called problems that the corsa c has, to which Kris replied it's all crap & is a straight fit into corsa b.
MoNkEy MaGiC, where r you buying the kit from? reason being is that all corsa b kits will fit any corsa & is not dependent on the model
but if you get a std 40mm kit then it will only lower your GSI (or SRi) by 25mm as your car is already 15mm lower to begin with
the easiest way to check is that, if you are buying online, then check the part numbers against all the other corsa models - if it is the same part number then the kit is not specifically for the GSI
have a look on http://www.needforspeed.co.uk at suspension kits for Corsa b's, you will find some manufacturers list the one kit for all models, but some list different kits for the SRi, GSi & Sports, which take into account that this car is already 15mm lower
hope this help

no your all crap! you do need to cut the shockers outa a Corsa C strut before drill a hole in the bottom of the strut and bolt the koni insert in. However I don't know about the CorsaB
we are talking about a GSI, u know nothing about corsa b's
so thats why i said you are talkin crap - if you had bothered to read my initial post.
it may be different for a corsa c but it aint relevant for this thread, agree?

With regards to the ABS locking up it is simple to fix, The car is fitted with a brake bias controlled valve. When the car is lowered the susp is tricked into thinking that you are carrying more weight in the rear than you are therefore, when you jump on the anchors more pressure is applied to the rear which causes the back end to jump out. I think it's located near the rear split for the handbrake cable and just needs slackening off a wee bit. My cousin did mine in 2 mins.

abs cars dont have a brake bias valve, the wheels wont lock up, lowering doesnt effect them.
ignoring the corsa c owner, as gambit said, its a straighht fit onto a corsa b. gsi may have different springs to the other models, i know the diesels do, due to the extra weight.

Thanks a lot for the info guys really helps, nice one
"Gambit" that website u gave is quite good.
do the SRI "B" and GSI "B" have the same standard suspension -15mm? coz i saw sum kits but only -35mm for GSI and it had same part number as the SRI kit?
one thing i noticed is it that i can only find a kit with maximum drop of 35mm Specifically for the GSI? isnt there a 60,50, or even 40mm available for the GSI?

it might be an idea to research a bit more into the GSi suspension. i'd go to your local vauxhall dealer & find out if GSI springs differ from them on a SRi or Sport, they may be a heavier poundage as Kris has already mentioned.
if they are, then you could maybe use a 60mm lowering kit for a diesel corsa as i know these definitly have a heavier pundage spring than petrol corsa's, this kit would then drop your car 45mm.
HTH,
Craig
CorsaSXI16v, how many Corsa C GSI's have you seen out on the road?? anybody with half a brain would realise he was talking about a corsa b, so it wasnt nessecary to state he was talking about a corsa b
