I was told yesterday that if i put a 200 ohm resistor in the blue wire (think its for the thermostat) it will trick the ecu into thinkin its runnin colder than it is therefore puttin more fuel in. Has any1 done this?

200 ohm is a bloody big resistor. i wudnt bother

200 ohm is actually a very small resistor as it goes.
I've seen this mod being sold on ebay for £5 for one resistor!!
I'd imagine it wasn't a good idea, your car may overheat or you may flood the engine.

Ive bought the chip on ebay for 3.75
im gonna give it a shot, all u do is put it in the irt? i think thats wot its called! and tape it all up! if it works ill praise it! if it sucks then fcuk it

Go to maplins, the high quality resistors are 17p!
Wouldn't bother though as i doubt it will improve performance, the temp sensor is there for a reason - to optimise power based on the air temp!
Best off making a cheap water injection kit from a window washer to cool your cold air feed if your gonna bodge stuff.
