The blue wire that you connect blue from amp to so it comes on with h/u, did you have trouble getting a connection when putting them together??
As the wire from amp doesnt fit well into the wire from h/u??

i cut the termials off the blue wire and soldered it together, worked fine

it is the remote cable. my mates alpine TV headunit had 2 of em. both of different voltage. he had to wire it up to the correct one otherwise it wouldnt work. not enough power in the one i guess?
