how do i remove my old gearknob?

1. clip out the top shiny part with the gear numbers on with a screw driver
2. drill a small hole where it was
3. It will then twist off easy and you could re-use it.
otherwise use a hacksaw

I removed the top bit, then with the help of a pair of big pliers just twisted mine off with a bit of elbow grease. Not drilling required.

hw do i do mine, cause i've got the old style knob, the top bit doesn't clip off.
Is the lift up bit seperate to the rst of the knob?

All you do, is give the knob a mighty twist and pull, and it should come off, then you come to a plastic part that held the standard knob on, you need to get this off, cut/saw around it to get rid.
Be carefull not to lose your spring for the lift up, put your new knob on, make sure lift up still works and your done!
