hello, just got a nice shiney full system... but i cant get the old one off... i have got the bracket type things off but where they slot together is firmly welded together with rust and dirt... any ideas on how i can get the bugger off!!! its doing my head in!!!

heat it up using a heat gun or gas thing from focus/b&q

try spraying wd40 in it and hit it with 2 hammers 1 either side if that dont work u will have 2 grind down the slot so it is longer it will come apart then

right, i had similar problems a few weeks ago with mine.
first things first. get your rear end on a ramp, it makes life so much easier.
i spent 3 hours gettting mine off by me hitting the end of it outwards and my old man on the end of the box twisting it around.
spray shite loads of WD40 and other penetrative oils into/onto/around it.
just takes a lot of patience and energy
