I should be getting a 1600 gsi lump-pre EGR crap, I know these engines give off a massive induction sound, however, I want to know what air filter will make it the loudest/deepest- Im v tempted on a K&N for performance reasons-but I would like to know peoples opinions please, cos pipercross are v tempting now, and has anyone tried JR?

i've got a piperX on a 1.4 16v and it sounds the dogs dangles.... i don't ne flat spots either
i'd recommend it over a drilled airbox for MY car cause it just revs up so much quicker, feels much more responsive and sounds a billion time better

hi mate, ive got a Gsi, its got a full exaust system and my KnN induction kit sounded like a fcucking BEAST, the slightest press of the throtle caused a mean growl!!!!!
ive now got a pipercross viper kit, its much better for performance, no flat spots at all but in terms of sound its pants, so what i did was slightly disconected the cold air feed from the induction kit and it sounds like a ferrari from 3000revs onwards now!!!

Throttle bodies make a nice induction noise.
