There are two rubber pegs in which the originl back box hooks on, these pegs are held by clipswhich have to be removed, then the box pulled out of the pegs. Once these are off, you have to separate the back box bit from the rest of the system. Past the back box you will see a join. Use whatever means necessary to separate the two sections (Lots of WD-40 and elbow grease (also some chisels may come in handy)) Try not to dent the metal!
After it is separated the old back box can come off and the new one offered up.
You need to get some special exhaust compound to smear around where the new joint will be ie. on the end of the new back box and where it joins to the rest of the system. You can then slide on the new back box. I find that if you fix the new back box into the rubber holders now is easiest (remembering to reclip them!). Then finally you can clamp the back box to the rest of the system at the joint with either the clamp that came with the back box or a suitable jubilee style clip (band clip- with a nut that tightens the clip!
It is easier than it sounds!!
