Got me motor booked in to get some tints, forgot to ask them but do they tint the windscreen normally or is that left without tint

they wont tint ur window screen ur front side windows if done to the max will be 35% tinted and the back/back side are allowed to be fully black

I got limo black going on the back 3 windows. There are 4 tones limo black to a legal tint, i got the tint just below legal going on the front should look cool but i suspect the interior will be very dark. But hey i get to drive round in a Ford Ka with full limo black tints all day as a courtesy car i hate fords!!!!

35% is not the legal limit! I have 15% on my car and my mate (dig_dave2811 on here) has 35%. We were parked up the other day and the cops came along and tested our windows with their lil gadget.
We recieved a warning and were told that our front windows must let at least 70% light to pass through them, which ours obviously didnt as it let through as they measured 15% and 35% on the light meter.

I know your not allowed to tint the windscreen..... but someone around my area has his windscreen tinted and as far as I know hasnt had any probs...... whats the penalty for this??

i got the limo black all the way round on my car except the windscreen, and the coppers walked passed my car in my garage the other day and didnt say a thing to me
