The last 2 attempts of knicking my car was from bending the door open and pulling the pin.

I know i could just remove the pins completely, but I wanted to smooth it over and make it look good.

Anyone done it?

Thanking you

would be piss easy to do, but would look crap with a hole in teh door card so you would be best recovering them thus getting rid of the hole where it used to be

i am just thinking of doing this so i took the door card off removed the door pin. On the door card where the pin goes through there is a plastic trim around the hole i was thinking of filling it with filler and colour coding just a cheaper option than the retrim

i took off the door card, cut the metal rod, fibreglassed the hole in the door card up and retrimmed the doors.

it cost me 3 quid for material too do all 4 door cards and a tenner on glue.

i totally removed 3 door pins and the drivers one i cut the top off so when locked it sits flush with the door card, filled the the top with filler and just brushed a bit of black paint on, very quick easy job.

Like he says do that, but i had an idea of putting alarm LED's in the blank, so it looks like it still serves a purpose
