my veccy does that especially movin off but ive had it all checked and cant find anything. let me know if u find owt
havin said that a few years back my mum had a similar prob with her cav and there was one of the bolts in the cradle that was about half a turn lose and that cured it but when i took it to my mate at vx he really had to wrench on it to get that half turn

Could be Bushes, (Sp) Strut or Exhaust, have a little look around and see if any of these are loose, it's hard to tell without hearing it myself.
Hope this helps

well on mine its not bushes, zorts, suspension or brakes kus they all been checked or replaced plus it had mot while its been doin it too and he gave car good going over
if u can get it on a ramp or over a pit might be worth while checkin a few bolts and mounts around the engine and box ect

a loose driveshaft nut will give a clunk, so will a knackered engine mount
do u get the clunk when you come of the accelerator also?

maybe a worn wishbone mount bush, there are 2 underneath, possible bottom ball joint or maybe anti-roll bar bush snapped, or worn. Best way to tell is to get the weight of the wheel and have a good look around underneath, pull the wheel about and see if any play.
If u got a breaker bar or something to use as a lever try levering the wishbone mounts to check for excessive play, you can normally see if these are worn by perished rubbers on the mounts though.
