how hard is it to fit after market components into the front doors and can u just cut the grill out and put them in or do the door cards need to be taken off?!

also what size speakers fit most easily into them?!

last question! Should i get components or coaxials?!?

its easy! jus take out ur old 1s cut out the grill and screw them in

17cm kenwoods comps are what i have! get comps and put the tweeter were the original 1 is!

17cm is 6 1/2" aint it?? are the tweeters the same idea! cut out the grill remove em and screw new ones in?!?

Take off door cards, un screw speakers....put in adaptor (or screw directly to the door)...

unclip old tweeter an slide in new one.

job done.

easy to get off mate, screws along the bottom and in the handle then pop rivets the rest. Try to pull them off evenly so not to leave any of the pop rivets stil in the door else they are a bit of a twat to get out

dannycorsa c - how did you get the grille on the outside of the door then? did u screw it on seperate? (excuse me if this is a stupid question)

I used the original speaker mounts, cut out the old speaker and glue gunned my new 17cm alpines in, well hidden too

i cut out the old grill andthe whole speaker is screwed into the door card from the front!

chaz! i ddnt cut the grill out 4 the tweeter it came wih many different brackets to hang diff ways i just used the holes to screw thru!

they have been taken out now coz im sellin the car! kenwoods have been replaced with SPLX they are poo! just needed em to fill the holes!

i didnt like the fact that the original grill slant downwards thus pushin the sound too the floor!

i took the door card off, was abit of a pain but once uve done it once it will be easy.

so u didnt have to take your door cards off!..sounds like a much easier way and the tweeters sit on top of the originals then?!

yes u do hve to remove the door cards to take out the original speaker as it gets in the way ov the new 1s! and also to jiggy out the old grill! ad put wires in! they run off an amp not the head unit!had to put new wires in was hard and abit dodgy but who cares they sounded good
