How much is the above from Vauxhall? Ive been told its about £100, is that about right? Seems quite expensive to me.

I think its a bit more than that m8,give it a clean it out first, 9 outta 10 times thats all they need.

No i paid i think about £65 for mine from LMF, cleaning them dont really do much they are a little solenoid that controls the amount of air entering the engine at idle and its a sealed unit, you can only clean the plunger, when they go its normally unfixable, try it it might work, i did when mine played up but it did nothing

The bloke who's gonna get it for me if I need it is calling in a favour from a Vauxhall mechanic so not gonna be paying! But I'll give it a clean first!

I just thought it was quite expensive.

fitting it is expensive cos its a complete pain to get to and when you do its only 2 screws!!!
depends what engine you got though im talking 16v here

Its only a 12v! How much is fitting roughly? As i'm getting the 2.0l conversion done in March and don't really wanna put any money into this engine!

On the 1.2 16V engines its EASY to get to and is just 3 screws. You can change one in 20mins easy.
