when powering subs and matching them to amps and vice versa
do you
match the amp to rms power
or
match to peak power???

Match RMS power. Peak power dont mean shit!! Always go by RMS ratings on amps and speakers.

you will need an amp that gives 750w RMS @ 2ohms probably, depending how you wire the dual coils up. Unless you get a 2 channel amp and wire the coils up seperately, then you will need the same total RMS, but split between the 2 channels

SPLX are known to be some of the worst amps you can get, it really is worth saving up a little bit more and getting something better.

oh well never mind mate how much do u think a decent amp that aint going to cost sh!t loads will cost me mate there never seems to be any for sale on corsasport, thing is I bought the sub a couple of minths back and now I need to use me cash for engine mods I have coming in the next few weeks so I am a bit kn@ckered really

you dont have to spend mega bucks to get something half decent, its just better not to get the very cheapest. Might be worth having a look on ebay, or www.caraudiodirect.com.
