Not too sure whether this could be a slipping clutch or not, but this morning on my way to work the car would jolt about and be very sluggish on acceleration a while after and pick up again. Was doing it for the 5 mile journey into work, but was ok this afternoon.
It has done this before though - any ideas?
Cheers in advance.

no thats not clutch, if your clutch was slipping, your engine would be revving but you wouldnt be going anywhere fast

Yes, engine was revving, but the car seemed to decelarate (as it was moving), jolted a bit- put me foot down a little to pick up the revs a little. It seemed a little sluggish and then picked up again. Been fine today though, although the clutch was badly adjust before.
Any ideas on whether it would be the clutch?
Cheers for your help on this guys.

I have a similar sympton with mine at the moment - but I think its coz my AFM is on the way out so the fueling is all over the place, thus getting flat spots...

from a standing start put the car in third and pull away, if the car finds this very difficult your clutch is fine, if it revs fine and pulls away slowly then the clutch is fucked

right, doesnt seem to be the clutch. (but could do with changing soon anyway). I havent got a clue what it would be, im not an engine person!
From what i have read, it could be the egr? But im not sure.
One thing that the car does do very, very rarely is to rev between 2-3000 rpm without the accelerator being pressed - could this prob be related?
Time for a Haynes Manual me thinks!
