I am a novice too. I had the spark plugs out and cleaned them. Also cleaned the rotor arm and was still doing it. So I bought new plus and ht leads and waa hey it is fixed. Try new plugs, that might sort it.

had new plugs...but not ht leads...cars only 5 years old surely they dont need replacing
thing is it lumps on idle like fuckery and for the first time ever revs dropped to about 400-500rpm then picked up to around 800-900rpm which is where it shud sit at idle

I was also told that apparently vauxhall ht leads have a tendoncy (excuse me spelling) to die, and are not great. Try replacing the leads as it only cost me £20 for new ones and it doesnt hurt to replace them. Also could it be the fuel filter? Have you got an induction kit? My revs some times drop a little bit (Got no rev counter so cant say by how much), but i can feel the revs drop at times. Been told this is due to the induction kit.

yes mate but no good... I reckon I might have a leak in my manifold or summin? Coz when accelerating theres the roar of the zorst but also there's a 'ssssssss' sound with it... I am so fussy that fings like this will bug me until they're fixed + I am a novice too which is frustrating..

I know how you feel. I am the same. Can't stand it when there is something wrong. Could be the exhaust. Just been told if it is the manifold it would be a ticking noise. If you cover the end of the zorst up and it dont stall then you have got a leak in the zorst. Or failing that take it down to your local garage place and get them to check the zorst for a leak.

Sorry to be a pain but I cant think of anything else you could try. If you have a good local tuning company, maybe take it there and see if they can give you any ideas.
