he says it turns over so it wont be that as it wouldnt turn over if the starter was buggered, check for fuel first mate the way suggested with the injector pipe...then get a mate in the aa to come round and call the aa up

take the plugs out clean them. the engine will most likly be flooded well if the pump works anyway.

Ive had shit loads of problems with my 1.2 8v - they are a shitty engine. I had more problems this morning, when the car kept fizzling out on me even when driving.
Firstly when it first started playing up i cleaned out the ICV, i then fitted new HT leads and plugs, new coolant temp sensors as well. Ive finally come across what was wrong with it i think, the injector was stuck open and it was flooding it completely, so i got a new SPI unit from a scrappers for £5, fitted it and now its all cushty.
(or atleast so far so good.)
