you know the springs on your handbrake cable that go to the back of the drums, are they sitting properly in the carriers

ahh i see, well i had a problem with mine sticking on aswell when i did it without the m-tech kit because i hadnt welded on the cable carriers from the astra beam onto my corsa beam to stop the cable fouling on the beam and stopping it releasing. because the springs were not springing the hand break off as they had nothing to spring against. Your best bet is to get under the back of your car and see if the springs look asif they are springing the handbrake drum off. sorry this isnt explained very well but i hope you get what i am on about.

adam its probably where the cable runs through the grooves on the rear beam. u may need to try and open them up with a flat screwdriver thats what i did with mine as they sometimes grip the cable to tight
