hi,
i have just had new standard suspension fitted to my car but the backend seems to dance around alot! any ideas what can be doen to steady the ride a bit, lowering, etc

Wider profile tyres/wheels help (for example, 195/45/15 tyres and 15" alloys are better than 165/70/13 tyres and 13" steel rims!

But yes lowering will make a difference with wider wheels.

i have 15s on already with 195/45's how low is best for handling wise ?

Well on my old Corsa it was lowered 35mm on Chassis Dynamics springs with 15" wheels (195/45/15 tyres), and that handled like a go-kart!

Any lower and the ride gets harsher to be honest.
