I have an alpine flex 4 amp. 4 channel. 400w i think. I have connected the head unit output, to the channel 1 input on the amp. (theres 2 input channels). I have then connected the speakers to the 2 output channels, L and R. from the channel 1 input. i hope every1 follows this...
As far as i know this is how its done. but it sounds shite. Not much better than when the speakers were connected direct to the headunit. Speakers running are JBL GTo 6x9 330w.
How can i improve the sound? how do i bridge it? get more powers to the speakers? Any help appreciated.

You need the thickest wire you can afford, sounds daft but the heavier and thicker the power cabling you use the more power it takes to the amp.
i.e. the best cabling to use for a large system is 0 gauge wiring, really heavy duty, but 4gauge is next which is usually capable of carrying anything upto 1600watts of power to the amp, dont automatically turn up the gain on ur amp to get more power tho, as it is not a volume controller, its just used to increase th power, but if its turned all th way up ul get good bass and power wen th system is on low but will get bad distortion wen its higher up the volume scale, hope tht helps mate.

cable thickness is not the problem in the slightest.
JBL GTO's are total shite. 0 gauge for a 2x 75wRMS amp is ridiculous.
