Apparently you can replace the 2000 NTLDR with the XP version and 2000 will boot up quicker - anyone tried this?

I've got two computers -
P4 3ghz with 2000 installed which is main computer with loads of stuff on.
P3 733 with fresh install of XP, classic view, most services disabled, nothing installed.
Suffice to say the 733 leaves the 3ghz behind, which is vaguely worrying!

I just got an ex Journalist laptop given to me from work, and its win2000 install has the NTLDR missing.
I only have winxp at home, and the laptop wont run XP, so this might be the ideal fix!
