HELP, my car cuts out as i drive and then suddenly comes back to life  All the electrics cut out aswell. Ive had the battery tested and the guy says its fine.
My engine is the year 2000 1.2 16v sxi thingy, not sure on code.
This one 
The whole engine shuts off and starts by itself. The dredded ECU light flashes on and then goes off straight away. I'm just hoping that somone knows on here so i dont have to pay vauxhall £45 to just tell me what it might be

does it cough and splurtter before it cuts out, or does it just die?
is it doing it as you pull up to junctions or dipping the clutch?

It does i t at random and it splutters slightly

my old 1.4 used to do that, when i had it serviced he just said apparently the ignition wires were loose or something ... but 2 days later i wrote the car off anyway.
