Russ dont be an ATi cunt all your life. XYZ900ABC is not as good, or as fast as any of the top of the line Nvidia cards. the 7900GTX released in a few weeks will piss all over it from a greeat height using its 0.90nM technology

adam, please ignore the idiots, just hang on for a month and get an x1900 AIW card, amazing value for money, better than a 7800gt for the same sort of money, plus you get all the AIW features.
and cybermonkey, the 7800gtx is not the cream of the crop any longer, x1900xt is better and cheaper
gotta admit, he is right.
I have the x1800 XT 512mb, and i wish i waited a month or so for the x1900 but hey, the x1800 512mb is still by far an awesome card, eats absolitly everything i throw at it, and still wants more.
ATI all the way

I beg to differ.
the top end ATI (x1800) compared to nvidia top end (7800), performs better at higher resolutions with AA and AF turned on (e.g more fps and more stable).
look it up

a few sites i looked at rate the 7800GTX 512 as a faster card than the X1800. 2 7800GTX's in SLi however...

Russ, where the hell is the saphire lines in the graphs? is it overlaying the orange? i would have expected a slight improvement between saphire and powercolour imo

They probably use the reference design.
There will be nothing between the boards.

Comparing these cards with benchmarks is pointless
Different benchmarking programs ie 3d mark are tailored to suit certain gpu's, ie Nvidia.
Just get a card that runs the games you want to play, and is within your budget.
easy.
