I've got a set of GSX-R 1000 throttle bodies that I'm putting on my X12XE. I paid £80 for them. Trying to make up the manifold at the moment, just need to get the flanges cut. Hoping to spend less than £50 on building the manifold.

The parts for the ECU & simulator set me back about £115 if I recall correctly. The EDIS system was £30 from a scrappy and my friend made me a 36 minus 1 trigger wheel for a few beers. I need a new trigger wheel to go onto the corsa crank pulley but i'll sort that out once i get the manifold and vaccum problem sorted. Need a few more bits and pieces, I think the total project will probably cost about £500

Remember your gonna need a dyno session to tune it...More money. I've got a basemap I've made to begin with, then i'll tune it as best I can with a wideband O2 sensor, then its gonna need a session on the rollers to get it right.

For throttle bodies... yeah £500 is an absolute minimum, providing you do pretty much all the work yourself.

go for bike carbs, pretty much the same performance, but you only require an ignition only setup which can be as simple as an old style dizzy and coil. No fuel injection, no ECU, simple!
