cams need to come out so that the valves sit flush in the head. valves can stay in. followers need to come out as well so they dont fall out.

remember to take note of the order of the bearing caps and followers and put them all back in the same order

is it a nightmare to now how it goes back together as ive never stripped a head before

just lay everything out in order as you remove them. take photo as you do it so you can look at them during the rebuild
