It seems alright but I don't really like the keypad, it's quite flat and doesn't respond well to keypresses.

No problems so far. Only had it 2 months tho, and my 700i and 750i were both still fine then.
Although I do prefer the overall feel of the 800i, even tho it's a bit bigger.

Never actually had any problems with my W800 joystick (apart for the little orange rubber falling out twice) but it has never actually failed on me - had it almost a year so not doing too badly.
