Im gonna have a go at spraying my door handles, and also some interior bits same colour as my car!!
Just a couple of questions, can someone give me a guide on what order to do things, how long i should leave after each stage and which stages can be avoided (.e.g does it all need sanding down or is it not essential)
also, where is the best place to get a good colour match to my car (i know black is quite easy to match anyway, but should i get it from halfrauds or my local peugeot garage!?

for get spraying the handles waste of time, just do what i did buy vectra door handles as they are already colour coded, so you need to find a black vectra and get the 2 front door handles of they fit straight n no probs, took me and hour plus i delocked it at the same time

your local motor factors will give you a decent colour match avoid halfords.
just turn up to your motor factors in your 206
also primer paint and laquer is probably advisable
laquer will help the paint stand a little more abuse since its a place that can get scrappped easily but it can be avoided.
The handles dont have to be sanded completely
you could just key the paint with one of those 3M pad things (ttheyre like scouring pads)
or you can use some wet and dry something like 240 beofre primer then leave primer to dry for few days then another coat. then leave that to dry then P800 it
then spray colour
few coats whilst its tacky
im not sure how to spray laquer i think you leave it for a wee while until paint isnt just dry then spray but dont quote me on it
but if your not praying with laquer then p2000 wet and flat back then rub with g3 with a good polishing cloth then few coats of good polish i used megs stage 1 2 and 3

what i would do is rub them down completly flat using a rough grade wet and dry (used dry), use a mild wet and dry, then a fine wet and dry. Get the handles completly smooth. Apply plastic primer let it dry for 10, rub down with mild paper (used wet) and re primer, rub down again and apply top coat, use a few coats. If your using lacquer apply the first coat when the top coat is drying out then keep applying till your happy. Hope this helps.
