I used to love ut but after making levels and scripting it, it has killed the game
The level editor decides to crash every five seconds when you want to do anything decent and the scripting is absolute pants.

Was good when it came out, with the standard maps. But every cunt made one, took 5 mins to download, and when it did was a shite map

yeah but when they did that they didnt know how to use it to its full potential.
Theres soo many things you can do with the maps plus the fact that you can have your own classes and make your own objects with all sorts of behaviour.
Most people just jump onto the level editor and make something really basic, whereas if you spend some time and use the program properly you can make some good stuff ( providing you have a good amount of patience ).
even other games have been created using the ut engine. Like that Americas army.
