Hi,

Right, i had a 1.2 8v 1994 engine with CAT. The CAT broke, so we removed it and fitted a straight through pipe!! Since then i've had a 1.4 8v SRi engine fitted, still using the same exhaust system!

Its time for MOT now, and i need a CAT to pass! What CATs will fit?? Are they all the same?? I know someone who has one from a 1.0 12v Corsa, will this fit???

I think they are the same mate....

I meant for the 1.2 8v and the 1.4 8v

the 1.0 12v will be different

Well i know someone whos going to weld it in for me anyway, and make some flanges up so i can remove it easily! So does that mean that the 1.0 12v one will be ok?? Is it just different mountings??

Main question is.... Will it pass MOT??

the 1.0 12v is a smaller bore iirc

The 1.2 16v and 1.0 12v the cats bolt directly to the exhaust maifold

the exhaust on the 1.0 12v has a tiny bore comparied to the 1.2/1.4 8v
