Hi all my clock dials work fine except the temperature guage is it the wire in the engine bay on the left side near the cam belt a single blue wire right with the connector that clips onto a little round nipple type thing? it was attached so i cleaned both connections and still nothing whats the next step? new thermostat?

take the wire off the sensor then earth it out on the engine and put your ignition on. if the gauge goes up then you know that the sensor is broken

could be connection at the back of the clocks as i know a mate that had this problem.

so if i take the wire off the sensor and put it on the negative on the battery then put the ignition on and the dial does go up it will defo be the sensor? if it is how much for a new sensor?

Touch the wire to ANY earth, i.e. anywhere on the engine, inlet etc.

just tried put the connector in a hole in the front bar with the vin plate on and touched it onto the rocker cover with the ignition in the dial never moved

Is your fuel gauge working?
I think fuel and coolant gauges share the same fuse.
The coolant gauge itself might be fooked.

yeh the fuel guage works fine so does that mean i will have to have the hassle of taking the clocks out to replace it then?
