Xbox elite and HD-DVD £399
PS3 £399
So its all down to which you prefer really, I've got a PS3 but was going to buy an elite until I found out they didn't build in the HD-DVD Drive.
At the moment there are better games for the 360, but plenty decent titles on the way for the PS3.

that assumes you care about playing hd media, the fact is you can get a 360 a lot cheaper if you dont

yeah i dont see why people think its going to be amazing in the future, the console is only as good as the games, and unfortunetly with the poor sales of the ps3 both hardware and software many devolepors are leaving it all toghether in favour of the wii or 360 or at the very least making games multiplatform.
dont see what big advantage ps3 games will have in the future over the other consoles.

tbh right now i would say 360, sure the ps3 has the potential to take the lead but the way things are looking now its not going to happen any time soon as it has no exclusive a+ games under its belt and its going to take more than metal gear solid, gt5 and gta and these games normally hit delays along the way (gta already been delayed)
right now the ps3 is only ploding along because of blu ray and 3rd party games like fifa and call of duty.

The latest proper stats I read were the ps3 outsold the 360 over the same time period, I would expect the 360 to still have more sales overall.
If this has now changed I will stand corrected.
