my brother has got a x14xe, with inlet, 4-2-1 manifold, decat, cat back and bmc airfilter, he had a big flat spot in the middle of the rev range and decided to put optimax in it last week and got rid of the flat spot and seems abit quicker, makes sense to anyone?

engines are always smoother with higher octane petrol, i buy the posh stuff and i get smoother performance/more miles to the gallon (i think )

pointless using it unless your car is designed to run on it or mapped to suit.
