yes but u dont sit directly infront of a 42" screen (well not many ppl do) so it will look pro

If you want HD then you need a 50"+ plasma as a lot of plasmas below that size tend to have lower resolutions, although this isn't bad because they will display SD (DVDs etc) a lot better than any high res'd LCD.
Personally i'd go for a plasma (depending on cash, Pioneer or Panasonic), unless HD is a must, in which case an LCD (Samsung etc)
