I ave an external toshiba hardrive and just yesterday i noticed it was no longer doing anything.
the light on the case is on and its connected but the computer doesnt recognise it at all.
all my stuff is on it. what can i do?

Check in Computer Management to see if the drive shows up. It may not have a drive letter assigned.
Happens all the time with my Iomega 500gb external drive when I swap it from the server to the desktop.

i dont really know wot im doing in the computer management thing but under disk management it doesnt show it.
its like its not connected at all, but ive used two different cables to check if its that

ive tried it on a different computer now too and nothings come up
does this mean its the harddrive at fault. is there any way i cant get my files off it?
