I have a 360 but a mate has a PS3, had my 360 about a year now. I played the PS3 and was pretty dissapointed wasnt blown away like when I first played on a 360, think thats down to the xbox being out a year longer and being used to the graphics now.
At the moment I reckon the 360 is the better option but the PS3 will definately be the best console in a year or so time when they can get the most out of it as the xbox is probably close to its max capabilities, some of the textures on the PS3 games are damn ugly though when you see them close up they are real pixelated when comparing them to the 360 version. I was looking forward to playing motorstorm heard great things about it, had a few goes on it now and thought it was bit basic and didnt blow me away.

PS3. It's less likely to be replaced in 3 years time like Microsoft did with the original Xbox. Fair enough 3 years is a long time but if you want something which is going to last at least with PlayStation you get 5 or 6 years from it.

Xbox 360 and that not coz I'm a fanboy.
I had 3 old PS's and a PS2.
Xbox 360 is just so much more than the PS3.

As already said, both of them do just about the same.
What clinched it for me was built in hd drive and wireless.

I have both and they are the same really
PS3 is more entertainment console
360 online service is better (but has to be paid for)

used both, got a ps3 for crimbo and it clearly has so much more going for it

Quite easily tbh.
Xbox has much more features etc.
The only downside to the 360 is the fact it has to be sent back to MicroSuck every 5 mins.

had a 360, sold it last year due to money issues.
got another 360 a xmas , could have got a ps3, but IMO the 360 has better/more games.
also im not one of the homos whos a fan boy, i care nothing weather its a microspoft or sony. People that buy do to brand really are extrremlly sad
