Once you've spent TB money, and not got TB power, then you'll regret it.
ive got a lexmaul inlet manifold already on it so thats sorted, ive got the janpspeed manifold, decat straight through on it aswell so thats a good start.
wheres the best place to get atp con-rod bolts and sbd metal rollers???
SBD
and where and what do i need for raised rev limit??
A re-map. Try speaking to MSD in blackpool, they can re-map the standard ECU for about £300.
wouldnt it be better to get the cams, pulleys and ported and polished head with atp con-rod bolts and sbd metal rollers before i get it remaped with raised rev limit surely for better results???
Re-mapping is the last thing you want to do.

wheres the best place to get the con rods and metal rollers???

You want con rod bolts, not con rods. Both these and metal rollers can be bought from SBD.
I'd get someone to fit the rod bolts, as they need to be countersunk into the bottom of the rod.
Unless, your confident in doing that yourself.

you might find that an 8v flywheel will make a differance too, helps the car rev up a bit quicker

Cams 272deg with 10mm lift will be able to be run without pocket pistons, pulleys, new valve springs (this is a must). Original TB rebore (+4mm I've done it) Then remap the sd ECU.
You should achieve something like 130 bhp with that setup or maybe a bit more.

stu_22 ive already got a lexmaul inlet manifold
ffls isnt that abit high for cams, wouldnt it be better to go for something like 256???
what does the other stuff do?

you got the inlet manifold
so all you need is someting like
cams 26... somthings will be ok power is from 2k till about 5.5k
bottom end to be ballanced.. will make the car more eager/easyer to rev,
lightened flywheel faster reving.
oversized bore on TB would be a nice addition,
Arp rod bolts.
Rased rev limit/full remap to suit mods.
should find the cars a lil beasty after that... will most prolly keep with more powerfull cars as it will rev quicker

basiucaly you get the throttle body, and have it machined out so that the internal diamiter is bigger thus letting more air through, as this is a majour restriction put in by vauxhall too!
and getting the bottom end ballanced is a extensive job really but does make a difference..
it involves taking the crank, pistons, con rods, front pulley out and sending it off to a company like Autosprint.co.uk as they will do it for £87.50 or something,,

It is the "biggest" cam you can fit on a standard engine according to Dbilas.
I also have the bottom end balanced and lightened and it help reving off course.
A light flywheel would be useful too because the original ones wheights more then 12 kg!!!!!

for a flywheel you want something like this
SBD light weight flywheel, aprox 3.8kg
for cams go ether newmans or dbilas but dont go over 260 something deg.
bottom end ballancing as i said before is a good idea, go to somewhere like Autosprint

as promised i have done a lil break down for you.. this is what id personaly do to a X14XE if i had the time/space/facilities
Top end work
For headwork id ask Dave A where he got the 1.6 head done.. looks nice and will give a nice increase in BHP
Unfortunatly you will need to get rid of the lexemal inlet manifold.. they are still restrictive so would go for a manzel styled one.
Set of newman cams 264 deg "part number VUXT/264/380H" (newman state they are the ones for fast road, the 270deg ones you need to change injectors, thats what newman state)
Dibias (sp) virners (sp) they are the only ones that will let you run standard managment (might not be the only ones but thats what i know)
Bottom end Work
Arp rod bolts RB2K Heavy duty rod bolt 1.3/1.4/1.6L set & instructions can be sold singly (info from SBD website)
Lightweight flywheel FLY-W3 7.25" flywheel Corsa 1.6/1.4L 16V with slots approx 3.1kg
Ring gear FLY-RG1 sold separately approx 0.7kg Combined Weight approx 3.8Kg (info from SBD website)
Crank, Pistons, Con Rods, Front Pulley Ballanced
4-Cylinder - Full balance £84.50 (price is from Autosprint.co.uk, i enquired about getting this done myself and they state please when posting them the items make sure they are very very well wrapped and protected as they will get damaged otherwise!)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you do all of this you might aswell do a full rebuild.. cost a lil bit but results are worth it,
also if your into a bit of a shiny engine, i'd have a ganders at this guys work.
Stephen Smethurst
his work is great... can only get ally bits done but his work is awsom!!

thanks mate, thats a perfect break down of what i could do.
to be honest though the lexmaul seems to work well so would prob end up keeping this on, manzel ones are hard to get hold of now adays but if one came up would def consider getting it!!
how much power increase do you think i would achieve with all of this??
