Currently got DDR ram installed, can you put DDR2 in or would that require a new Mobo?

Yeah your right, you will need a motherboard that supports DDR2, if it cant then you can only use DDR.

Unfortunately DDR is 184 and DDR2 is 240, so you'll need a new motherboard etc.

But i would have a look on ebay for DDR, probably the best way to go
