so if i fit my old x16 inlet to my x14 it would give me more power?

the only way you could get more power using the standard inlet be it 1.6 on the 1.4 is to use the 1.6 lower inlet and to get the head ported to match.

May get peak gains but I would expect a drop in useable power/torque TBH.
