atm i have a corsa c20let which i bought all done a while back, a few weeks ago my engine gave up and part of the piston somehow cracked so wiping out the engine.
just wondering how hard would it be to change the engine for another C20LET or is it worth taking it to someone who has done it before
thanks in advance for any help sam

Well it's all already done so just make sure you label all the wires eg the loom on where it all needs to go (tip: take photos) and literally just pop old out, slide new one in

Not too hard, driveshafts out, tie bars off, disconnect all wires and pipes then drop the engine and gearbox out, remove gearbox from old engine and fit to new then refit and spend an hour messing with the gear linkage. Easily done by one person in an afternoon

Turbo can be fiddly with the engine in place but its possible. might help if you take the turbo off before taking the engine out too, just undo the mounts and push the engine back so you can get to them easier
