Ive had my 2.0 corsa now for about 5 months and got use to the power! want a touch more without to much expense! Looking to spend about 500?? Was going to put a c20let engine in but not really got the money now.
The engine already has mods such as... powercap, bored out, forged pistons, raised limiter. so is pretty nippy as it is but u no what its like when u get use to it!
Car was running at 156 bhp before powercap was fitted did make a difference the powercap.
What could i do??
chip it ?
cams?
how much more power would i gain??

could put cams in, could get head work, bigger bore exhaust manifold. only problem on them engines is the inlet manifold is a massive restriction so about 175-180 is about on its limits without going for throttle bodies or oldskool carbs.

ant - coscast head isnt ported from factory the later ones have smaller inlet ports than a stock gm head by quite abit.

yeah, but you say you want more power but on a budget, realistically your not going to see enough gains without spending abit.
ported/polished head, pocketed pistons, decent lift cams, re-map etc.

Its all in your mind imo, its using more fuel because your booting it more
The only noticable change id think it would make would be a very slight throttle responce

For £500...you could maybe source down and fit bike carbs
maybe a bit more..
or set of cams, 4-2-1 (other than standard) as people are saying!
