Hi was just wondering if any one could help. When i start my corsa 1600 sport up it revs high for a matter of seconds then comes back down to normal. Ive been told it could be the idle control valve???
Any ideas of wat else it could be???

That sounds normal, as it's the 'auto choke' which it doesn't have, but is control by the IACV and ECU. Just a way of getting the engine started and such.

I was just gonna say that this s normal. Seems to be a lot of these threads at the moment. Was one the other day where someone said their engine get hot when they are not moving but then cools down. I'm waiting for the thread about 'when i press the pedal in the middle my car seems to slow down!'

yeah i know its suppose to rev slightly higgher lol.
But this is reving far too high at about 4000 revs???
