i have checked resisstance of all he earths, all ok. can the camshaft sensor stop the engine from starting wthout stoppig fuel supply.

will i need a analog volt meter to test for a pulse. i have checked the timming markers, all lined up correctly. i will try compression test, but would that cause there not to be a spark. paper clip tested it. came up clear.
oh and chris the loom turned out to be off a calibra on a 94 had to get the motronic 2.8 ecu

dont know. but i have a 12v supply going to the sensors and the coil. will go to the scrappers today and see if i can get a coil. think 2.0 frontera and some cavs share same coil. and see how much a analoge volt meter is to test for a pulse voltage from crank sensor.

tested crank sensor with the analog multi meter. no getting any voltage, strange hw this does not come up on fault codes when clip testing.

Is the battery fully charged? If you've been turning it over a lot could have discharged it enough to lose the spark. I've had exactly same problem when testing a engine.
