Nothing to do with Virgin, follow the steps in this guide; http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/18050.aspx

Fuck knows I wish I could get my newly aquired Belkin wifi unit to connect to my Virgin cable network.
I've tried everything, and I've wasted probably as much petrol taking the Belkin back to currys to try to sort it as I paid for it.
Utterly random connections.....no connection....limited local connection....connection without intenet access, and occasionally connection with internet access.
I've been advised now to contact virgin to sort it out. But from what I can see of it the problem seems to be on the belkin security side of things
God knows, I'm tempted to just take it back for a refund.

Spoke to Virgin this afternoon, and surprise surprise they don't want to know because its not a Virgin router.
Rock and hard place springs to mind

Turn the security off to get it to work then slowly add back all the ancillary services then? Not that difficult surely
