Does anyone use this, and if so, what are your thoughts on it?
Is it basically just a poor mans Adobe Illustrator?

Quark is a desktop publishing program, Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator are vector imaging programs.
Corel is easier to use than Illustrator, but Illustrator is more powerful (but also more resource hungry and is not a newbie kind of program unless you've gone to college or something learning how to use it).
