ive got a 1.4 corsa b and the head gasket went and all the coolant leaked leaked into the engine. the head gasket has bin replaced and headskimmed, car is back together but after few mins steam comes out of exhaust and i have loss of power, will this problem last or will it soon stop??

was the block cleaned/smothed?was the head torqued down correctly?if so you may have a cracked head/block.

check your oil level, did you change the oil and filter after all the coolant went into the engine?

yeh changed oil, steam dont seem tht bad nw ive booted it, but got another prblem, wen i steer sharp or press lightly on accelerater it hesitates and jutters?

what engines is it?

sure you havent trapped anything when putting the head back on?

steam coming from a 14xe exhaust is expected mines done it from day one and its all ok engine wise

Was the head skimmed, is it over-heating?

head was skimmed, its not over heatin, stays at around 90-92 degrees

Probably just moisture that has built up in the baffles.. Flush the oil then take it for a run.

there was a lot of smoke comin out of exhaust and car wudnt start.
